Asbestos / Mesothelioma

Mesothelioma is a type of cancer which develops a thin layer of tissue, often covering the lining of the lungs and chest wall. Greater than 80% of all mesothelioma is caused by exposure to asbestos, a substance utilized heavily after World War II. The greater the exposure to asbestos, the greater probability that one may develop mesothelioma; thus, high rates of disease occur in those working with asbestos, mining asbestos, working in buildings containing asbestos, or living with someone who does. Mesothelioma takes decades to develop, often taking forty years to begin forming. Symptoms include shortness of breath caused by fluid collecting around the lung(s), a swollen abdomen, chest wall pain, coughing, fatigue, and weight loss. If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with mesothelioma as a result of asbestos exposure, you may be entitled to compensation. Our firm will work diligently to ensure that you receive all that you are entitled to. Call us for a free consultation today!
